A few weeks ago I received a phone call and email from Nia James, a local young woman from Abergele, explaining that she is doing her best right now to raise extra funds for a trip coming up very soon.
Nia is a student and is flying out to Arizona on the 16th of May to work at an underprivileged Camp for three and a half months. The Camp is called Triangle Y and it helps give underprivileged children a scholarship in order to attend Camp.
Nia has to pay for her own flights so has been doing her best to fundraise in many different ways to cover the cost.
Last Wednesday at our weekly Caffi Cwtch drop in coffee shop we were delighted to receive a good selection of home made cakes from Nia, and were happy to sell these on her behalf as well as donate any money received for drinks.
We are delighted to say that Nia will be coming to Caffi Cwtch in person this coming Wednesday, once more with a selection of home made cakes to sell in order to help her raise funds. It would be wonderful if you could come along to Caffi Cwtch this coming Wednesday 1pm to 3pm to help support Nia on her way.
If you are unable to pop along, Nia also has a fundraising page set up. Please click on the link below. https://www.gofundme.com/bsbfn-camp-america
